Gardens by the Bay

I went to Gardens by the Bay yesterday. Along the way to the Gardens, uniquely designed trees which were approximately 16 storeys in height had captured my eyes. These tree structures were so beautifully designed. The branches of the trees were so neatly positioned that they seemed to form the shape of a circle. Due to this, sometimes, they looked more like huge flowers to me than gigantic trees from a distance. In my opinion, it would be a good idea to position the branches in disorderly manner so that those tree structures will resemble real trees from far. If so, this will give more natural wilderness impression to the Gardens.
When I walked closer to those tree structures, I found myself in awe. It felt like I was starring in one of the science fiction movies. "Welcome to the Utopian world!" I said to myself. The very-high-narrow bridge ,which connected some of those tree structures together, and the people who walked along the bridge, made the atmosphere around the Gardens to be even more like a Utopian society. How cool it will be if Hollywood decides to make movies at Gardens by the Bay as its location!
After looking at those tree structures, I continued my walk. As I passed by a dragonfly lake, an idea came to my mind. It would be good if a transparent glass bridge that touches the water surface of the lake was built across the lake. When some tourists walk across the bridge, they would be able to see below the lake and spot some fishes swimming just under them. The bridge would also create an impression of them being able to walk on the water. Besides, it would serve as a popular location for tourists to take a photo.
As I continued my journey, these flowers caught my eyes, especially their combinations of colours. When I looked at them, I realised that white, yellowish gold and green worked well together. A beautiful dress with combination of those colours would be awesome for garden party.
Another type of flowers was captured inside my camera. These flowers gave me a calming feelings when I looked at them. Besides that, the unique shape of the flower, itself, made it so exceptional to the point that it stood out from the rest. I guess, when it comes to designing things, it uses the same principle as the uniqueness of this flower. Only the extraordinary will stand out from the rest and capture people's attentions.
These flowers were so beautiful. It inspires me to design a hairband with these floral pattern. the colour combinations were also appealing. Light purple and dark purple flowers as the pattern for a hairband would be pretty.
This tree stole my attention as it had a very unique surface. There were many pointy bumps on the surface of the tree. The durian-like-pointy bumps were probably ways for this tree to adapt to its environment. As I came to think about that, it would be good to apply this principle when we created a house gate. In order to provide house security, preventing burglar to break into the house, a house gate designed with many pointy bumps on its surface will hinder burglary.
I found another very interesting tree during my walk. When I looked at the structure of how the fruits of the tree were naturally arranged, an inspiration came into my mind. We could create a decorative floor lamp that resembles this tree. Just imagine the stem of this tree as the body of the floor lamp, the fruits of the tree as the hanging round lamps and the branches that hold the fruits of the tree as the thin structures that connect the hanging round lamps and the body of the floor lamp.
I stumbled upon this cute plant structure. It looked like a penguin. In my opinion, it would be awesome to create this plant structure for our own gardens at our backyards, wouldn't it? Of course, our plant structure should be smaller. So, let's bring our gardens to the next level!
These pictures ended my one hour silent walk. I found that the round patches of plants on the wall were quite appealing to my eyes. They gave patterns to the boring wall. So, I was thinking that it would be more interesting to actually change the shape of the patches from circle to a big heart shape or even another interesting and unique shapes. The patches could also be made in such a way that they form letters on the wall. Overall, my journey to Gardens by the Bay was a very enriching experience.
